To create hair like strokes, we use a tiny blade that is made up of numerous micro needles to glide through the skin, each strokes creating an imitation hair. (not suitable for mature skin)
To create soft powdery brows a specifically designed tattoo machine is used to deposit pixels of pigment into the skin to create the brow. (Suitable for all skin types)
Microbladed brows are made up of tiny hair strokes behind the hairs resulting in a natural looking brow, this technique is NOT suitable for mature skin types or overly plucked brows.
Ombre brows are a soft powdery look that last longer and is suitable for all skin types, and all brow types, they can be super soft to create a soft shadow on the brow or bolder for a more solid defined brow.
The lips are measured and drawn to the desired shape, from there a small tattoo machine is used to create a soft outline followed by a shading technique to deposit pixels of your custom made color into the lip to create fullness and definition.
Allow 2 hours for your Lip or Brow appointment.
During this time you will complete paperwork, the brow/ lips will be measured and drawn up to the desired new shape, and once client is satisfied we begin the procedure, aftercare instructions will be explained in this time.
Every client is different, some feel no pain at all and some feel a slight scratching sensation.
A topical anaesthetic is recommended, Each client will need to have this made at a compounding pharmacy prior to your appointment, allow a few days for this to be compounded.
Cosmetic tattooing for brows can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 or more years.
Lips can last anywhere from 2-5years.
The longevity of your tattoo will greatly depends on the client, Everyones skin type, metabolism, lifestyle, skin care products and medical conditions all vary which influences the pigment retention in a clients skin. A touch up for brows is recommended yearly to maintain optimal results.
BROWS
Prior to your appointment you must avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and tanning.
No skin care products containing AHA's, No botox within two weeks, No chemical peels within 4 weeks.
After your procedure you must keep your brows dry for 7-10 days or until peeling has commenced. Aftercare cream which will be provided is required to be applied 3 x a day for 7-10 days in this time the brows must be kept dry.
Do not apply makeup to the brows and avoid touching them as much as possible.
LIPS
Prior to your appointment you must avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and tanning.
No botox within two weeks around the lip/chin area, Filler must be done at least 4 weeks before your treatment. Exfoliate the lips in the days leading up to your appointment so they are hydrated and are not dry or chapped.
COLD SORES- If you have EVER has a cold sore on your lip it is recommended to take Lysine tablets 3 weeks before your procedure or a 3 day course of Famvir anti fungal tablets from the pharmacy, as the lip blushing procedure causes stress to the lip this may cause a coldsore outbreak, Zovirax can also be used if this does occur.
After your procedure you must apply your after cream constantly to keep lips moist, if they dry out they will tighten and the color will fall out.
Avoid spicy food and hot drinks for 24 hours, you must drink through a straw until peeling has finished.
Keep your Lips dry for 7 days and do not pick at any scabbing as this will result in color being pulled out.
Clients who are:
Using Accutane
Have had botox in the last 2 weeks
Have had filler with the last 4 weeks (Lip Blushing only)
Pregnant or Breastfeeding Mothers
Have skin diseases or irritation
Prone to Keloid scarring
Patients undergoing Chemotherapy
Must Be 18+ Years
Heart Conditions
Epilepsy
Diabetes (requires doctor clearance)
Each client is required to purchase their anaesthetic creams from a compounding pharmacy prior to their appointment, order forms for this will be sent to you upon booking.
Two seperate creams are recommended to make your appointment as comfortable as possible.
One is applied prior to your appointment so your brows are numb on arrival and the other cream is used throughout the procedure to keep them numb, The recommended creams are as follows,
5mls Lignocaine 6% Tetracaine 4% - Apply 1 hour Prior
5mls- Lidoocaine 6% Tetracaine 4% Epinephrine 0.2% - used during the procedure.
All cosmetic tattooing appointments require a $200 non refundable deposit at the time of booking. If your appointment is canceled you will forfeit your deposit. Any appointment rescheduling must be done 48 hours prior to appointment.
The deposit is used to rule out time wasters and is used to cover the cost of time that was allowed for your appointment. The $200 will be deducted off the cost on the day of your appointment.
Cosmetic tattooing is a 2 step procedure, the perfecting session is done to adjust colour and perfect the shape after the initial session, everyones skin holds pigment so differently so we can never tell how a persons brows will heal, some fade more than other during the healing process.
Additional sessions may be required as everyones skin is different, in some cases a third session is required.
